Dedicated to all the new ones in the City
Bangalore, merely heaven with a pinch of hell savor. The day starts in the morning for some people and ends for a few others. It gets going with Good Morningggggg Bangaloreeeeee! ನೀವು ಕೇಳ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೀರಿ ರೇಡಿಯೋ ಮಿರ್ಚಿ 98.3 FM ಸಕತ್ ಹಾಟ್ ಮಗಾ! 120 seconds, ticking on the signal board, hastiness in its peak resolving to reach the destination. With a cup of coffee, idli dosa vada sambar makes the growling stomach bliss.
The scene of the morning gives a captivating picture where kids drag themselves to school with a heavy bag and IT people drag with a heavier bag than the kids. Bangalore possesses everything but time. New in town? The same 24 hours of the day seem to be way shorter. Some people build their career, some build an empire, while some rule the city.
The city is filled with diversity. People from different places, states, countries, people with different customs, traditions, languages dwell in Bangalore. No matter where the person is from, Bangalore is ನಮ್ಮ ಊರು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು! Disgracefully, linguistic is at its peak. Strangers of the same native language get cozier than with strangers of varied languages. The city is diversified in emotions as well. You get to taste every dish from the emotion’s plate. Taste buds spurn some dishes, but swallowing is the only option. Hatred, jealousy, friendship, love, care, selfishness, enmity, you get it all. Grow more, move on, catch up and don’t tend to verge on the goal, reach the goal.
Bangalore is a confusing city. It’s a knotted ball of thread, entangled huddle of earphone wire. The more you try to push yourself, the more you get detained. If you give a shot to understand the city, you probably might end up making it stranger than it was before. At times it engulfs you with family and friends, but at times it makes you lonely too. Everyone has their dictionary and so does Bangalore. There is no ‘NO’ in its dictionary. No matter what you ask for , wish for, aspire for, urge for, you seek all in here. But nothing comes without a price tag.
Ever tried to peep into the lives of people: wandering with nothing to do, toiling all day in hot sun or cold breeze to provide their family with two meals a day, sweating to death just to live for a few more days, sleeping with a thought of how to get a meal the next day. For these people, Bangalore is an opportunity to survive. From the footprints of Mochi shoes to the footprints of bare feet, from the trail of Porsche to the trail of hand-cart, from the Star Bucks coffee to the street Khullad chai, from the Chanel paper bag to the plain white plastic bag, from Sheraton Grand to Indira Canteen, Bangalore is diversified from every nook of life.
Everyone has a thing, everything has a thing, Bangalore has it too, that is traffic. Helmets-seat belts, cab pool-quick ride, BMTC-Volvo, bounce-yulu, ola-uber, swiggy-zomato, roads are covered with more than these. In fact, roads get narrow for this traffic and footpaths come into play. The ETA of accidents and fights is just one second. Rules, laws, and fines are no less than the one-ways and flyovers. Though people are stalled in the busy traffic, their lives keep on rushing.
Bangalore is harsh, savage, huge, scary, yet beautiful. The smell of its rains, the sight of its greenery, the feel of its cool breeze, the sound of its crowd, the taste of its variety gives a lifetime experience. It is really amusing to get lost in the crowd and then shine with the crown. Just try it out, and it’s up to you to call her either messy or missy, she is going to love you anyway.
